In a typical day in your life, how are you globally interconnected?

I work in a green house for the US Forest Service and we just planted a type of Larch tree from the US to compare it to a Chinese Larch species. We do a fair amount of studying plots all over the country and all over the world (the scientists do, not the greenhouse techs like me).
