Do trade unions matter globally?

More and more,except in the US. Globalization has caused negative impacts worldwide, especially exploitation,environmental degradation,political mess-up,cultural intrusion etc. The union has become stronger recently,even in China to protect such a bad thing. Many unions both in developing countries and Europe have shown that the free economy without union is impossible. They have been the creators of new regulations in those countries. In the US, the teacher union has played its part during the bad economy.
